Illinois-based Gemini Announces New General Manager

Roxana, IL (January 2, 2019) – Promotional products manufacturer Gemini Industries today announced Steve Ehlert as its new General Manager. He succeeds Scott Schaeffer, Gemini’s President, to assume leadership of the business that Scott and his brother Chris Schaeffer led for over 25 years, building on the legacy of their father Edward Schaeffer, who founded the company in 1954.

“Steve brings extensive relevant experience from his career in the printing industry for over 20 years,” said Scott Schaeffer. “He managed multiple manufacturing plants, delivered high quality products on-time, and brought a customer focus to all aspects of the operation. Steve was also well liked and respected by his employees, all of which have prepared him to lead Gemini successfully for many years.”

Steve Ehlert was most recently a General Manager at Ennis, Inc. of Midlothian, Texas, a leading manufacturer and supplier of print products for the wholesale trade. For over 20 years at Ennis, Mr. Ehlert managed facilities in Oregon, California, Ohio and most recently Texas. Mr. Ehlert brings operational expertise in manufacturing efficiency, quality control, safety excellence, on-time delivery, and equipment
optimization. Mr. Ehlert also has extensive experience managing complex and large customer relationships, and developing a customer-first focus. Finally, Mr. Ehlert values teamwork, employee engagement, and open communication such that his employees are productive and can grow.

Mr. Ehlert has been involved with acquisitions of family-owned companies. He brings a unique understanding of how to bring improvements to the company, while preserving the special care of customers and employees that occurs with a family-run business.
